While this tournament serves as a platform for the promotion of Japanese culture,
which include amongst others, Japanese traditional budo, the event has also
garnered a reputation for being an avenue where various kendo dojos from all over
Malaysia will come to pit to be the best and overall champion of this fiercely fought
kendo competition.
